Frequent sessions running between 10.00-16.00 meet in the Whitstable Castle grounds at the View over the Wall stall.
Finding a little peace in our crazy world. Let nature be the catalyst to awaken your senses with a guided walk that invigorates your mind and strips back life to its core purpose. The View Over the Wall Experience helps you connect with nature, creativity, heritage, and wellbeing while walking through some of Whitstable’s landscapes.

Walking in Silence
A silent walk in Blean Woods.
Walking in silence offers an opportunity for both inward reflection and outer engagement with the wider environment. Artist Will Glanfield will lead a walk of up to two hoursthrough these beautiful ancient woodlands.
There will be a short introductory talk before setting out. The second part of the walk will be made in silence, with an opportunity to reflect on the experience nesr the end.
Parts of the walk are hilly and there is uneven terrain. Bring walking boots, weather appropriate clothing, water and a snack (but please leave your dogs at home for this particular walk).

Where Seaside Meets Countryside - a guided walk on Whitstable's wild side.
The Gorrell Valley Nature reserve is Whitstable’s hidden gem. At some 90 acres it is believed to be the largest village green in England and is
preserved in perpetuity for local people, its fauna and flora. Managed by skilled volunteers it has a variety of habitats including flower meadows, stream and ponds and ancient woodland and this enables a rich diversity of wildlife.
The walk will take you through the various habitats, view points and features dealing with the wildlife, geography and history of this unique place.
This is a wild place and parts are inaccessible to those with walking difficulties.
All ages welcome
No charge but donations towards the work on site will be gladly received.

Marine Ecology Workshops
An opportunity for members of the family - young and old - to choose one or more marine ecology workshops led by specialists. Whether through fieldwork, dissection, art or poetry this an opportunity to discover the living world along our coast. Organised by Whitstable Maritime and the Plover Rovers.
